Brian Labelle was born in Montreal and moved to Toronto after graduating from McGill University. In addition to having over a million views of his photographs online over the last decade, his work has been published in Toronto Life and the Toronto Star, as well as a variety of books and periodicals. He has exhibited his work in a number of locations, and has built a reputation as an ardent supporter of Toronto artists, having photographed countless artists with their work across the city. Influenced by creative masters as diverse as Freeman Patterson, J.M. W. Turner and Pierre Auguste Renoir, his work captures the essence of the beauty that surrounds us every day, and has been described as inhabiting 'the space between vibrant and peaceful', subtly echoing the artistry of 19th century impressionism.
